Food: Pretty Pretzels



I spotted a picture of chocolate dipped pretzels the other day and since I am home alone this evening took the chance to make these to gorge on (alongside a massive macaroni cheese and a fair amount of cider)...
Probably the simplest thing in the world, these would be great to make with kids. I warn you to expect lots of finger licking and arguing over who gets to enjoy the chocolatey mixing bowl!

To make these you need chocolate, salted pretzels and some sprinkles - that's it.


Melt the chocolate over a pan of hot water (or in the microwave if you prefer) until it is runny. Dip in your salty pretzels making sure they are all covered. The chocolate is pretty hot and messy so best to use a spoon. Once the pretzel is coated, lay on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and sprinkle on some hundreds and thousands or chocolate sprinkles. Pop them in the fridge for approx. 30mins til the chocolate hardens and Bob's your uncle.

After a rubbishey week in the office these were a very welcome treat!
