Sale Time & Sweet Treats

Yesterday I promised you lovely things, and I am true to my word!

First things first - SALE TIME! I am offering a 25% Jubilee Discount to you lovely people, applicable to everything in my shop. All you need to do is enter the code BUNTING2012 at the checkout, this will run until Saturday 2nd June. Maybe a good time to purchase some corgis or to stock up on birthday cards! Please spread the word!

Also, in between the boring bits this weekend I did fit in a lovely barbecue with my family. I do like to feed them up when they visit – and I have been trying to stick to my goal of wasting less food – so used some freckly old bananas to make a rather tasty banana loaf. Even used an Easter egg that had been hiding in the cupboard instead of chocolate chips! I’m a changed woman.

If you want to give this recipe a try, you will need:

Squishy old banana (approx. 100g)

• 1 tbsp milk

• 50g soft butter

• 75gplain flour

• 75g caster sugar

• ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda

• ½ tsp baking powder

• 1 free-range egg

• 50g chocolate chips

Then all you have to do is:

Preheat the oven to 160C and grease and line a loaf tin
• Mash the banana up and mix together with all the other ingredients (not the chocolate chips)

• Stir the chocolate into the mix and pop into the loaf tin

• Bake for about 45mins

Easy as that! My mum, who isn’t a big cake lover, even took a slice home so definitely worth a try!

Lastly, as if all that wasn’t enough, I have also been asked by the lovely Angela to take part in a special Jubilee blog post over on the This Is Wiss blog. Loads of great crafty posts to be found – and a free downloadable colouring page I designed especially for the occasion.
